Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are led by GPs and represent a group of GP practices in a certain area. They are responsible for commissioning healthcare services. There are eight CCGs in NW London.

Healthwatch is the independent consumer champion for both health and social care. There is local Healthwatch, at local level, and Healthwatch England, at national level. The aim of local Healthwatch is to give citizens and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided within their locality.

Local councils are responsible for social care in their local area and can ask questions and scrutinise plans of the local NHS in their scrutiny committees.
