‘Drama – always a good way to illustrate problems.’

On Monday 25 April, over fifty carers, mental health professionals, commissioners and GPs from across NW London came to the Lyric Theatre to discuss the impact that the Like Minded strategy will have on their role.

To bring the strategy and its impact to life, the Heart to Heart Theatre company acted out three very real scenarios for carers where Like Minded could have an impact. All attendees were encouraged to get involved with the interactive scenarios, to demonstrate how they best felt the strategy could be used.

The voice of carers, particularly carers of those with mental health needs, is often lost but the interactive scenarios gave a great opportunity for them to share their ideas and views which were welcomed by North West London’s LikeMinded and West London Collaborative teams. We received great feedback from the event – “The scenarios were very apt. Enjoyed the discussions around them. Everyone gave different and unexpected solutions’ – and look forward to holding similar events in the future to hear your views.

A more detailed record of the event, including photos and video, will be made available shortly. In the meantime, if you require any further information or would like to be made aware of future events, please contact LikeMinded
